A herd of yearling deer stopped by for a late afternoon feeding of field cabbage today, and they were in no particular hurry to move along. Better in the field than on the road. I got as close to them as I could, but there was a party down the road, and it is Saturday night….

    If, it weren’t for our garden, we’d love to have them hang around too.

      Agreed. There’s about 100 acres of gone-over cabbage in the field in front of our house, so that should keep them busy for awhile.
