Lilac leaves are the surest sign that spring has stopped teasing. Although the flowers rarely last more than a week here, the leaves possess their own silky beauty. I’ve photographed them many times over the years, and they always draw me back for more.
Beautiful colors and textures, Steven. We are still in the midst of drabness over here. I can’t wait.

I’ll try to send some your way. We had light snow Thursday night, so the season is still temperamental. π

Thanks, Steven. This is summer here. From March until the middle of June the weather gets hot. The middle of June we usually get the monsoon. It rains off and on until September. π — Suzanne

Beautiful picture. Our lilacs are almost ready to bloom. The weather’s been kind of weird. The magnolia has had blossoms for a week.

Thanks! It’s been weird weather here, too. Lots of rain, and then heat. Our lilacs are almost finished, but they usually don’t last more than a week.
