About the Author

Steven Baird is an author, amateur photographer, and 40-+ year newspaper compositor — 28 years in Southeast Ontario, and 13 years in North Carolina. He does not like speaking of himself in the first person. He has published three novels, several short stories, and is currently working on an ambitious fourth.

Steven is a native Canadian living in Virginia with his wife Angela, two dogs, a cat, and an incalculable number of chickens.

      I appreciate the challenge, and would love to join you, my writing hasn’t been going very well lately and all I could offer are scraps. It’s a struggle to find the “write” stuff. I’d love to try it when the muse decides to revisit. And I do appreciate the invite!

    Your writing stands out like a palm tree swaying in the breeze on a deserted beach. You’re drawn to it and can’t look away. Maybe not the proper imagery, maybe more like a train wreck, lol that you can’t resist a look at, maybe because the writing can be haunting, right? But, your work stands out. Take a break. Regroup.
